Step 4: Gathering and Organizing Paperwork
Having all of your car’s paperwork organized and readily available will instill confidence in potential buyers and demonstrate that you have taken good care of your car. Gather the title, registration, maintenance records, and warranty information. Organize the paperwork in a folder or binder. If you have any receipts for repairs or maintenance, include them as well. Obtain a vehicle history report from a reputable provider, such as Carfax or AutoCheck. This report can reveal accidents, title issues, odometer fraud, and other important information.
